Michaelidis et al. (2005)

Oxygen consumption rates (% of control rate), an indicator of metabolism, were examined in adult mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) exposed to either normal (8.05) or reduced (7.3) pH for a period of 20 hours. Reduced pH conditions were obtained by injecting gaseous CO2 into seawater, while temperatures were maintained at 18C and salinity at 32.

Michaelidis et al. (2005)

Oxygen consumption rates (% of control rate), an indicator of metabolism, were examined in juvenile mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) exposed to either normal (8.05) or reduced (7.3) pH for a period of 90 days. Reduced pH conditions were obtained by injecting gaseous CO2 into seawater, while temperatures were maintained at 18C and salinity at 32.
